Collection Day is October 3, rain or shine!
Donate your unneeded bike–any size, any condition–at any Howard County Fire Station between 9 AM and 2 PM and help a child ride into a happier, healthier, more independent life!
Our Mission
Free Bikes 4 Kidz is a nonprofit organization geared toward helping all kids ride into a happier, healthier childhood by providing bikes to those most in need. We collect bicycles from the public, refurbish them with hundreds of volunteers starting in October, and give them away directly to local kids in need and to Maryland nonprofits in December.
Since 2019 we have given away
15,408
bicycles to local children in need!
Our sponsors include Prologis, Howard County, Trek, SafeKids, Park Tool, QBP, the Harkins Foundation, the MDOT Highway Safety Office, BGE, Todson, and Constellation.
Help a Kid Be a Kid – Volunteer
Our 2025 Campaign is over! We’ll be back in the Spring with more opportunities to help children ride into a happier, healthier, more independent life.
We want to help every child feel the joys and freedom of riding a bike. You can help by volunteering to help during our annual campaign every fall.
It’s a great way to earn community service hours, to help the community, and to contribute to our putting smiles on children’s faces in December. We offer a chance to help change a life.
