Our second fiscal year ended June 30, and it was a great year, notwithstanding the pandemic and resulting increased demand for, and shortage of, bikes and bike parts. We gave away 960 bikes and helmets, almost twice as many as in our first year. We repaired over 200 bicycles in free bike repair clinics. And we worked with Howard County Public Works and Bikes for the World to begin collecting children’s bikes at the Alpha Ridge recycling center, which has led to a stockpile of over 800 bikes ready to be refurbished before our Fall 2021 campaign even begins!
