We’ve so far refurbished 180 bicycles for Howard County students in need who will not have school bus service this fall. On August 18 we gave away over 130 of those bikes at Oakland Mills High School. Thanks to The Howard Hughes Corporation for providing space for refurbishing these bikes, HCPSS staff for coordinating the event, Oakland Mills High School for the venue, and Trek’s Columbia and Ellicott City stores for providing many of the used bikes we refurbished and gave away. Parents of students who need a bike should work with their schools to get on our list.
